Granted Familiar by Alejandro N. Marrero 2/24/2020

Constellations from way up high
Take pieces of my soul and come to life
Take form into my sweet familiar
A friend that shadows me here and yes everywhere
One that is connected to the very heart of me
One that never ever hurts me and like the others never leaves

Stars, yes you, I’m calling you way up in the sky
I invite you each and every single night
Don’t be frightened I don’t want us to cry
I’ll never yell, hit or ever bite, only kindness will we abide
Trust me to always do what for us is right
Keeping you in my lovely arms and endearing sight
You’d not be like my other friends
We’d play infinitely and it would never end

With a piece of my soul and all my heart’s wishes
I sent the stars all my loving kisses
With a heart open I invoked your presence
Come on down and join us together with our shared essence
You’ll be free now and no longer trapped in the skies
You’ll be seen wether it’s day or even night
There’d be no reason to ever hide.
Please accept my endearing invitation
I’d really love your acceptance and yes completion

Constellations from way up high
Higher than any wings can ever fly
Take pieces of my shattered soul and come to life
Make me feel whole again and take form into my familiar
We’d no longer feel alone as we’d together gaze our shared mirrors

You would be a friend that shadows me anywhere and everywhere
One that is connected to my souls eternity
One that I’m letting in but stays consistently
We’ve searched for each other so insistently
Well here I am let’s become familiar
You’ll find no one cares more or gives similar
One that is connected to the very heart of me
One that never ever hurts me and like the others leaves
